Noted for a variety of experiences this trail includes bush tracks along
parts of the original road. It leads to a lookout not to be missed. At
the top of the staircase, with easy flights and provision for pushing bikes,
views can be seen from almost one end of the lake to the other. See the
towering ignimbrite bluffs that the trail passes beneath. On your way to
Dunham Point there is much to see and hear. At the right time of day there
are even small white sandy beaches.
There are basic toilet facilities at Dunham
Point Reserve.
